Musing Mondays is hosted by Should Be Reading.
Do you ever find scenes from previous books you’ve read popping into your head at random times? If so, does it bother you? If it doesn’t happen to you, why do you think that is?
I find that certain phrases from books pop into my head than images from the scenes themselves. If an author has described something in a particular way, I tell myself, “I should remember that so I can use that word in a similar way in the future.” It happened to me yesterday in the shower, and I’m trying to think of what the words were and what book they were from, but it’s escaping me at the moment. It will probably come to me later. More proof that these types of things happen to you randomly, haha! I wouldn’t say that it bothers me. It’s good that this happens because hopefully it will improve my writing.
